For a student like me and many others out there, Tootle is just the right thing. For once, we would love not to ride in the over-crowded tempos and the over-priced taxis and simply reach our destination on time. Had a great ride the other day and the app seems perfect. I was late for office and badly needed a ride. One of my friends had suggested tootle, a ride sharing service in a minimal charge. I thought about giving it a try and this turned out to be a fun ride. I reached my office 10 minutes earlier than usual. I highly recommend tootle to all my friends and family.

The words “Drivers” and “Partners” here are used interchangeably meaning people who use the application to give rides. The word “Client” here means people who use the application to find rides.
In order to use the service as a client, one has to download Tootle application.

We have provided Rs.60 bonus which will be expired after 30 days. You can spend that bonus by taking ride only. The request of rides can only be made through the application. We have no provision of matching the client with a Tootle partner by any other means. Also, please make sure you have an Internet connection when you make a booking.

You have to become a Tootle partner to give rides and earn money. Inorder to become a Tootle partner, you have to first fill the form at https://tootle.today/drive
You need to join one of the training session to activate your account. For office location to activate tootle partner account please view the above link.
After that you have to download Tootle Partner app from Google Playstore and signup using the mobile number and password you used to fill the form.

PS. Currently there is no partner app in iOS. As we develop it, we will promote it via social media platforms. Please stay in touch.
Yes, you can use same mobile number to use both the app. However, the process to signup are different. You will have to signup on both the apps separately using the process mentioned above.
If you have signed up only in Tootle app, do not expect the same account to work in Tootle partner app. You have to signup again for Tootle partner app following the required procedures even if you use the same mobile number.
For clients, you have to turn on the mobile data or have an internet connection till the driver accepts your ride request. After that it is optional. However, if you still want to turn on your mobile data throughout the ride, you get some additional features like knowing the driver status and tracking the driver on way.
For the driver, yes you will have to turn on your Mobile data throughout the ride.
PS: The data cost for using our application for one particular ride of about 5 km is Rs 1. Make sure you have turned off other application from using your mobile data at that particular time. You can change this in your settings.
As a partner, it is a must for you to turn on your GPS at all times.
As a client, you may or may not turn on your GPS all the time. If you turn on your GPS when you are in the process of requesting a ride, your current location will be your default pickup location. If you don’t, you have to enter it manually
There are two ways clients can make payment for their ride.
1. Cash- The client simply pays in cash to the driver, as the ride is complete.
2. Tootle Balance- The client can use Tootle Balance to pay for the ride. However, the balance should have enough money else the booking wont be allowed.
Both the option is available before confirming the booking. The payment method that is convenient to the client can be chosen at the time of confirming the ride request.
Also, Tootle partner can see the payment method chosen by the client before accepting the ride request.
You can top up your Tootle balance by using eSewa or SCT Moco service and you can get 5% extra from Tootle.
There are several other methods of recharging the Tootle balance. Such as:
-You can ask your Tootle Partner to top-up on your Tootle balance and get 10% extra from Tootle. Tootle partners can transfer balance from their account to yours via Top up client option.
However, in some cases the partners might be new and may not know about the feature. You can lead the way.
-Tootle partners may have Tootle vouchers, you can buy from them and scan it to topup.
-You can also visit our office at Jawalakhel- Norkhang Complex 4th floor and get Tootle vouchers.

The money you have collected after giving rides is collected as your Tootle Balance. The process to cashout the money you have earned as your tootle balance is:
1. Transfer the money to esewa
(You have to register with esewa. Follow esewa guidelines to register with esewa.) https://esewa.com.np/static/faq
2. After the money is in your esewa account, you can either cash out the money from esewa zone or transfer the money to any bank account that are partnered with esewa.
(You have to be a verified user to transfer the money to partnered banks, becoming a verified user is having a complete eSewa profile. You need to keep your eSewa profile complete because of the existing regulatory requirements of Nepal Rastra Bank which states that anyone willing to utilize financial services needs to complete his/her KYC (Know your Customer) form.)
Follow esewa guidelines to complete the KYC form.
PS. Rs. 200 balance that you see as you signup in the Tootle partner app cannot be cashed out since this is not the amount you have earned. It is a virtual balance which is used to make adjustment while you take cash bookings.
The features in the app that provides you safety options are:
1. Real time Ride Monitoring
Tootle Operation is monitoring all the rides happening via Tootle in real time. Any kind of suspicious activity is immediately tracked and action is taken accordingly.

Tootle Customer Care will get back to you to solve your issues.
2. Choose preferred gender
For clients, before confirming the booking, you have an option to choose the preferred gender.
For drivers, before accepting the booking you know the gender of the person who made the booking.
So, its your call on choosing a ride with the gender you are comfortable with.
Other information like phone number of both the driver and client, the bike number of the driver are only displayed after the booking is accepted.
3. Safety SMS
This feature is available both for the drivers and the client.
The option is available after the booking is accepted. An automatic sms where the information of the person you are going to make a ride with and the route you are going to is generated. You can send the information to your closed one before you make a ride or as you make a ride incase you feel insecure.
4. Send Tracking Code
This feature is available for clients.
The option is available after a Tootle partner accepts the booking. An auto sms is generated where a tracking code is given. This code can be sent to your loved ones who can track your ride status by entering the code in the Tootle client app. (The person who you send the code must have Tootle app for this purpose.)
5. Rating Option
There is a rating option after the ride is completed for both client and partners. Please make sure you rate the service honestly. The rating information will be handled by Tootle admin with great confidentiality. A person who constantly has a bad rating will be red flagged. Tootle will take some actions on dealing with the red flagged driver or clients.
Also, Tootle ensures that all the Tootle partners have a valid driving license.
